China Train Tour Guilin

Day 1 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short break in the hotel, you will take rickshaws through Beijing's Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals.

 

Day 2 Beijing

Today we will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. The grand palaces and courtyards, the unique design as well as the valuable collections attract millions of people to admire. After having lunch you will visit the Temple of Heaven which is one of the important landmarks of Beijing.

 

Day 3 Beijing

After breakfast, we will visit Great Wall, one of the eight ancient wonders of between 6000- 6500km long built over several centuries to keep out the invading northern tribes. After a hike along a portion of the Wall, we visit the Ming Tombs, a secluded valley housing 14 imperial burial mounds. You will take overnight train to Xi’an.

 

Day 4 Xi’an

Upon arrival, you will transfer to the hotel to have your breakfast. After a short rest, we will start our full day tour. Surely Terracotta Warriors is our first destination. It is the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages. The museum covers an area of 16,300 square meters, divided into three sections: No. 1 Pit, No. 2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit respectively. And then we will visit Ancient City Wall. It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Muslim Street is a wonderful place to walk around; certainly we won’t miss this place.

 

Day 5 Xi’an - Guilin

In the morning we will visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. The museum's permanent exhibition primarily displays Shaanxi's ancient history. The collection from the Han through the Tang (618 A.D.-907 A.D.) and Song (960 A.D.-1279 A.D.) dynasties shows the changes of art and craftsmanship. After lunch, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. And then we will take train to Guilin.

 

Day 6 On the train

A whole day on the train, you could see beautiful southern China views. Arrive in Guilin in the evening.

 

Day 7 Guilin - Yangshuo

Today you will take Li River Cruise through the mist-shrouded limestone mountains, passing picturesque farms and fishing villages.

Your cruise disembarks at the charming small Yangshuo Town around 2:00 p.m., and you will have you lunch on the cruise. After check in the hotel, the rest time is free at your own leisure.

 

Day 8 Yangshuo - Guilin

After breakfast we will visit we will visit Reed Flute Cave. It gets the name from the reeds used for making flutes and pipes that grow at its entrance. The cave is regarded as the largest and most impressive cave in Guilin. And then we will drive back to Guilin and transfer you to the airport for your flight back to your warm home. End of service.
