Eastern China likes a Chinese painting. After seeing the magnificent Great Wall and imperial palace Forbidden City in Beijing, eastern part of China will show you a different elegance and beauty. Canal culture Wuzhen Water Town, leisurely splendid West Lake, blue-and-white graceful Jingdezhen, picturesque village Wuyuan, fantastic stunning Mt. Huangshan and delightful village Hongcun are all included in this terrific Eastern China Tour. You will be captivated!

 

Schedule:

Day 1__Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. According to your arrival flight, we will suggest the activities for today.

 

Day 2__Beijing

Beijing day tour:

The Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall: it’s famed for its Ming-dynasty guard towers and stirring views.

 

    

 

Summer Palace: unlike the overpowering flatland of the Forbidden City or the considered harmonies of the Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace with its huge lake, hilltop views and energizing walks-offers a pastoral escape into the landscapes of traditional Chinese painting.

 

Day 3__Beijing to Hangzhou

After Beijing city tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Hangzhou. Your guide of Hangzhou section will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

The Forbidden City: China's largest and best-preserved complex of ancient buildings. The Forbidden City, in scripted as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site in 1987.Built between 1406-1420, it is the largest palace of the world complex covering 74 hectares. It has 9999 halls and rooms in which emperors lived for over 500 hundred years in Ming and Qing dynasties.

After that you will take a leisure walk around Tian An Men Square to admire the grandeur of the largest public squares in the world. And then

 

Day 4__Hangzhou

Wuzhen lies in the far north-east of Zhejiang province, about 90 minutes by road from Shanghai. The name "water town" is especially apt; besides lying on the Grand Canal, the settlement is completely encircled by two rivers - the Dong Shi and a smaller tributary, which meet at a T-junction. Today you will stroll in this water town. And then we will take a cruise to enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional cultures and the original ancient features of Wuzhen water town that have been preserved intact, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs.

 

     

 

Day 5__Hangzhou to Nanchang

After enjoying your breakfast you will start your tour in Hangzhou with a cruise in the picturesque West Lake. Then pay a visit to Longjin Tea Garden. After lunch you will take train to Nanchang. Your guide of Jiangxi section will meet you at the exit of the railway station and transfer you to the hotel.

 

Day 6__Nanchang to Jingdezhen

Today we will drive about 3 hours to Jingdezhen, the ceramic capital of China. You will visit the Ancient Kiln and Museum of ceramics. And then you will pay a visit to Jiayang Ceramics, which is a ceramic study institute factory, famous for imitating antique porcelain. After that you will have time to explore in China Ceramic Street.

 

Day 7__Jingdezhen to Yaoli

Today you will visit Gaoling Hill hiking through old villages on the top of the hill. And then will explore in Yaoli old town and visit ancient porcelain kiln sites.

 

Day 8 Yaoli to Wuyuan

After breakfast, we will drive to Wuyuan.

Likeng village: Wuyuan is known as the most beautiful countryside in China. You will walk into the most picturesque Likeng village in this area. It enjoys a stupendous riverside setting, hung with lanterns, threaded by quaint bridges. Visit Yu Family Mansion in Wangkou, followed by Jiangwang village and Xiaoqi village.

      

Day 9__Wuyuan to Huangshan

After breakfast we will drive to Huangshan. ascend to the top of the mountain by cable car and enjoy the attractions of Huangshan. You would be enchanted by bizarre contoured pine trees, fantastic rock formations, seas of cloud and budding hot springs. In addition, one will find the diversified fauna, plants, flowers, herbs in Huangshan most fascinating for research purpose also. Overnight at the top the mountain.

 

Day 10__Huangshan to Shanghai

Rise early to catch the glory of the rising sun baths the nearby peaks and pavilions in a shower of light, if the weather is good enough. Descend the mountain by cable car. And then we will visit Hongcun ancient village over 800 years old leaning against Mt. Huangshan.

Hongcun ancient village: it is folded in the fog of the Mt Huangshan, which makes it look like a natural landscape painting. The famous film "Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon" was made here. Surrounded by a picturesque moat with bridges to the village and a half-moon shaped pond in the centre, it is a favourite haunt of artists and students who often stay with local families to paint here. And then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Your guide will greet you at airport and send you to your hotel.

 

   

 

Day 11__Shanghai

This morning is free at your own leisure. Your guide will meet you in the early afternoon at your hotel for a half day city tour. Take a city tour to visit the city's major attractions and get a general understanding of this city.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower: This 468 meters (1,536 feet) high  tower is the world's sixth and China's second tallest TV and radio tower. However, even more alluring than its height is the unique architectural design that makes the Oriental Pearl TV Tower one of the most attractive places anywhere. Its base is supported by three seven-meter wide slanting stanchions. Surrounding the eleven steel spheres that are 'strung' vertically through the center of the tower are three nine-meter wide columns. Also you will have the chance to get a bird’s view of the whole Pudong new area on top of the.

Yu Garden: you will stroll along the lovely paths and pavilions of Yu Garden in Shanghai Old City and at the same time experience Shanghai recently gained modernity.

The Bund: And then you will walk along and admire both sides of the harbor. The Bund, also called Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu (East Zhongshan 1st Road), is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. It is on the west bank of Huangpu River from the Waibaidu Bridge to Nanpu Bridge and winds 1500 meters (0.93 mile) in length. The most famous and attractive sight which is at the west side of the Bund are the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.

 

Day 12__Departure

Your Eastern China Tour will be near the end. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
